Be A Paul!

The example of Apostle Paul's life is one we should all follow, as he wrote "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." (1 Corinthians 11:1)

And I desire to pattern my ministry after that of Paul. We have his example of ministry all over the New Testament, and a few of his characteristics stand out in 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12.

He Was Confident In God's Power (v1-2)

Amidst suffering (v2a)

Amidst shame (v2b)

Amidst contention (v2c)

He Was Centered On God's Truth (v3-5)

Not on mischief (v3)

Not on man-pleasing (v4-5)

Not on money (v5)

He Was Committed To God's Love (v6-11)

He exhibited the humble love of God (v6)

He exhibited the nurturing love of God (v7)

He exhibited the sacrificial love of God (v8-9)

He exhibited the righteous love of God (v10)

He exhibited the authoritative love of God (v11)

All because he wanted folks to be saved and able to have a life "worthy of God who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory."! (v12)
